‘Compacta’ Japanese Holly has small shiny oval leaves on short dense branches. Since Ilex crenata ‘Compacta’ has a neat compact round habit, it seldom requires any pruning. A good choice for foundation plantings, as this is a Holly which will not get “out of control”. Evergreen and sun-loving, with good winter hardiness. At full size it is 4' tall by 4' wide.
